The Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip is a great addition to any home theater, providing ambient lighting that pairs well with the hue sync to change colors with the movie. The strip can be controlled with the main hue app that controls all other hue lights and can be cut to size, though cutting must be done at certain marked spots on the back of the tape. The strip works with a Hue Dimmer Switch and can be set up in many ways, with most products plugging into a standard outlet. The colors are very good and the gradient feature is top-notch. However, the price point is a bit high and the adhesive on the strip is often worthless. Some customers have had issues where only a few inches of the light strip work, and their strips were out of warranty. Additionally, the strip does not corner or turn well and can drag down the whole strip if an area is not adhered properly.
