The ProCo Rat2 is an overdrive/distortion pedal that operates at 9-18V for increased headroom and fidelity. It is assembled in China with almost all the same parts as the US made models. The RAT is designed for guitar but can also be used with bass as well. It is recommended to use an instrument or patch cable and not a cabinet/speaker cable. The pedal has a trebly tone added and loses some of the bottom but overall, it is a good recommendation for those looking for a distortion/overdrive effect. It has that Rat character that can be used to emulate sounds from Trevor Peres (Guitarist of Obituary).
