It works with vertical flowing up into the tank and does not come with clear PVC downspout. It has a ball that allows more water to enter the filter and works great. The inlet and outlet take a 4" PVC pressure pipe, but with the adapters provided, buyers can use cheaper 4" PVC sewer pipe with a smaller ID which fits the adapters. No adapter is provided for the outlet to the filter section, and it does not come with a 4" vertical tube.
